Position: K-12 EL/ESL Teacher (English Learners)

 

Qualifications:

• Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an NS endorsement or YA-YT Endorsement for the areas being taught.
• Meet highly qualified requirements for EL.
• Able to assess and document student progress
• Professional in personal conduct and actions
• Excellent communication skills

Duties:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required
• Working knowledge of EL standards and WIDA standards.
• Ability to link instruction and assessments to learning targets and state standards.
• Ability to use formative assessments to inform instruction
• Create, deliver, and grade assessments/assignments as needed
• Ability to utilize effective instructional strategies
• Ability to differentiate instruction
• Must be able to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum
• Travel between buildings throughout district to service students across grades pre K-12.
• Maintain required documentation and program compliance for audit purposes.
• Provide whole group and small group instruction
• Collaborate with EL Director ? Perform other duties as assigned.

Rate of Pay: Per CEA Contract
